Riding-High on Shikhar Dhawan's swashbuckling knock of 119 runs, new entrants Reliance-I pipped defending champions Indian Oil Corporation by three wickets in the final of 16th All India J.P. Atray Cricket Tournament to clinch title in a match played at the PCA Stadium in Mohali on Wednesday night.
Chasing Indian Oil's huge total of 303 runs, openers Ishan Malhotra and Shikhar Dhawan got things going for Reliance-I. Before Ishan (13 in 7 balls) could plunder more runs, he was clean bowled by Raje. Thereafter, Sunny Singh (32) and Parthiv Patel (47) along with in-form Shikhar Dhawan controlled the innings. Shukhar displayed tremendous grit and batted like a champion on a batting wicket at PCA Stadium. His knock came in 116 balls which included 16 fours and one six. He was sent packing on Patel's bowling, but till then Reliance was in control of the situation. Dhawan was declared man of the match for his match-winning knock.

Indian Oil opener Mrityunjay Yadav played a splendid knock of 64 runs. But the batsman who stole the show for Indian Oil was Aditya Tare. Batting at two down, Tare hammered Reliance-I bowlers all over the park and dominated the proceedings. His knock included 14 sparkling boundaries. An enterprising partnership of 119 runs for the fourth wicket between Aditya Tare and Mandar Phadke (40) ensured that Indian Oil team reach 303 runs for the loss of six wickets in 50 overs.
